About Us
Since its establishment, Pekintas Group of Companies has demonstrated its quality and leadership through successfully completed projects across all sectors in which it operates. Continuously strengthening its organization with new members, the Group remains committed to ongoing development through environmentally friendly technologies and to contributing sustainably as one of the key driving forces of the national economy.
1959
Our Founder and Chairman, Mr. Özkan Olcay, graduated from Istanbul Technical University and began his professional career.
1963
Production of prefabricated channels commenced. Pekin Insaat Limited Company was established. The Bolu, Düzce, Bursa, and Adana Plains Irrigation Projects were successfully completed and honored with certificates of appreciation.
1972
Pekinsan Pekin Sanayi ve Insaat Komandit Company was established. Logistics and construction site support units became operational.
1974
Pekintas Pekin Insaat Endüstri ve Ticaret Anonim Company was founded. Production of prefabricated and prestressed structural components for industrial buildings began.
1993
Pekintas Celik Hasır A.S. and Pekintas Dıs Ticaret A.S. were established. The steel mesh and fencing systems factory started operations in 1993, followed by the Istanbul Leather Free Zone Warehouses in 1994.
1996
Aluform Pekintas A.S., producing insulated roof and façade cladding materials, joined our Group through a partnership with German VIAG Holding. Today, the company is a national leader in its field and exports its advanced technology products to 26 countries.
1997
Our annual covered area production and installation capacity reached 835,000 square meters, approaching the one million square meter threshold.
2000
The ISO 9001 Quality Management System was implemented within our company. The Pekintas name was officially registered with the Turkish Patent Institute, strengthening the brand identity and quality assurance of Pekintas.
2003
The Eurocold brand was registered. Investments were made using Italian technology for the production of panels and equipment required for high quality cold storage facilities.
2006
An investment was made in a rock wool sandwich panel production facility under the structure of Aluform A.S.
2008
Within the scope of our corporate social responsibility projects, the Düzce Sports Hall and the Tuzla Elderly Care Home and Life Center were planned, rapidly constructed, and opened for service.
2010
Construction of the Mixed Use Residential and Commercial Center project in Tuzla commenced, with a total planned covered area of approximately 50,000 square meters.
2012
Schmid Pekintas Enerji A.S. was established through a partnership with the German technology group Schmid Group. Production of high technology, high quality photovoltaic solar panels and accessories for solar power plants began.
2013
A company was established in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, primarily focused on the production of cold storage panels, and the Turkmen Panel brand was registered.
We were listed among Turkiye’s second largest 500 industrial enterprises and ranked among the top 1,000 exporting companies.
2014
SPI Schmid Pekintas Investments was established as a Turkish German partnership to deliver turnkey industrial facilities and process engineering solutions requiring advanced technology in Turkiye and the surrounding region. Initial projects in Tatarstan and Argentina were launched.
2015
Kazakhstan Too Pekintas joined our Group. Through completed projects, we obtained first category contractor certification.
2016
A 1 MW rooftop Solar Power Plant was commissioned at our Düzce Aluform Factory. We became capable of producing all our own energy and using it in an environmentally responsible manner.
An agreement was signed to relocate the Schmid Group R&D Center to Turkiye.
2017
APCON Insaat Yapı Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S., established to manage steel prefabrication operations, joined the Pekintas Group of Companies.
2018
As a result of long standing cooperation between Aluform Pekintas A.S. and Bruti Ing, the sandwich panel manufacturer AluformBruti was established in North Macedonia as a joint venture.
2019
Within the scope of the Golden Beam Awards organized by the Turkish Prefabrication Association, Pekintaş was honored with the “Prefabricated Concrete Product Award” for the most successful project realized using prefabrication technology.
2022
Development of DePower Energy Storage Solar Power Plants with a total installed capacity of 300 MW.
2023
Commissioning of the Schmid Pekintaş Giga Factory, increasing the total photovoltaic solar panel production capacity to 3 GW.
2025
Schmid Pekintaş upgraded its solar panel production technology from 10BB to 16BB, transitioning from 590 Watt panels to the new-generation 630 Watt panels.
2025
Schmid Pekintaş achieved LEED Certification
2025
P-Tech launched advanced TOPCon photovoltaic cell production, strengthening its position in next-generation solar technologies.
2025
Under the HIT-30 Program, which prioritizes strategic investment areas including solar cell production, Pekintaş was selected as one of the five awarded companies.
